Hidden pleasures, be jealous Brubakers!

Oh and this is the secret hidden fruit of Mozambique.  5 Meticais to the person who can identify it.  That's about 18 cents.

  1. The real question is: does it taste good?

  2. I wondered whether it's a custard apple but I kind of don't think so ...

  3. Just taking a stab in the dark here....could it be a cherimoya?? Scientifically Annona cherimola? If so, I request that my victory bounty be spent on data for future video chats or possibly toward mailing me one of these possibly delicious fruits! At least from what I've found on the internet they either have the mixed flavor of banana, pineapple, papaya, peach, and strawberry or taste something like commercial bubblegum.

I'm not sure what I think about that...Amanda, what do you think of them?

  4. Mom, my initial reaction was a custard apple as well. But I think Daniel might win this round. I really need to get on the ball so I get my vote in before everyone else gets a say.

Inquiring minds need to know what it tastes like!

  5. Daniel hit the nail on the head. That's the perfect way to describe the taste. As for you David, patience good sir. I'm in a third world country, I can't be checking my iphone every ten minutes just for your curiousity! I'm hoping you note the sarcasm!

  6. Inquiring minds also post questions about fruit species on AskReddit....I had an answer within literally 2 minutes, kind of amazing. Not sure if that's cheating.

And Amanda, our family doesn't use sarcasm much so it's good you made sure he caught it.

Amanda, I hate sarcasm, please never use it again.
