My life is in piles. I have two suitcases and a carry-on that I need to fill by Monday with everything for two years. One pile is for my two year bag, another for my 3 months of training, one for my carry on, and then a few piles here and there that are hoping to make the cut. If I have the room this pile goes and if I don't, well then, I'll need to return a thing or two.
It seems like yesterday that I was looking at the calendar and thinking 'wow, two months before I leave.' Where did all this time go? I am down to 3 days, and soon it will be hours until the biggest adventure of my life to date. I am overwhelmed and excited at the same time.
It's time to say farewell to family and friends, spend the last few days doing last minute preparations, and making the most of my time with loved ones. Goodbye to summer, goodbye to fall, and hello 80+ degree spring. Along with it will be new life-long friendships, memories, and experiences that I will never, ever forget.
In case anyone is interested (because I would love it!), here is my shameless plug at asking for mail or care packages if you feel giving:
